Esther Lutheran Church is a small, rural congregation nestled among pine trees near Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. The minute you walk through the doors of this church you will see the beautiful stained glass windows, and hear the bubbling conversations of the congregants as they share with one another the joys and sorrows of the past week. The congregation entails around 185 baptized members who farm, work in small businesses, or are retired. Oftentimes there may be 3 to 4 generations in worship services on a given Sunday. The strength of the family is key to the growth at Esther Lutheran, and gives the congregation vitality. You will also notice the wide diversity of age groups in the congregation from the very old to the very young. The area is often overrun with the bustling of small children from the basement Sunday School classes.

The members of Esther Lutheran are compassionate, caring people. When there is a need in the community, there is someone who is willing to listen, and hold your hand. They are people who are committed to Christ, whose mission statement reveals the core values of their belief system. It reads: Knowing Christ – Making Christ Known through Faith, Hope, and Love
